Coaches Protocols

•    Prioritize the health and safety of CFC players over training targets.
•    Inquire how the athletes are feeling at start of each training session and send them home if they act or discuss feeling ill.
•    Follow all established federal, state, and local protocols.
•    Group players in 4-5. Report training groupings to COVID-19 site coordinator.
•    Communicate training groups, locations, and training protocol to families.
•    Ensure all players stay in the same training groups for entire Phase 2, for contact-tracing purposes.
•    Ensure all players have their individual equipment (ball, water bottles, bag, etc.) and prohibit them from sharing anything. Player equipment placement should be spaced at least 6 feet apart from one another.
•    Ensure coach is the only person to handle cones, disks, etc.
•    Conduct all training outdoors and strictly enforce social distancing per the current phase guidelines.
•    Always wear a cloth mask per current phase protocol and social distance from players as required.
•    Wash and sanitize your own equipment at the end of every training day.
•    Remove a piece of equipment that was touched by anyone other than themselves during practice session.
•    Do not use scrimmage vests/pinnies during training sessions.
•    Communicate with parents weekly and add information on what they are doing to help the club to maintain safety.
•    Have fun, stay positive – players and parents are looking to you to stay calm, supportive, and caring during this time.
