Duvall B09 Hulking Zombie Pig Dogs Rec Cup State Champions!

Congratulations to The Hulking Zombie Pig Dogs on their incredible triple crown achievement - placing 1st in the regular season, winning the District Championship, and now the prestigious State Championship! This U17 boys' soccer team has demonstrated extraordinary dedication, with many players growing together on the field for an impressive nine years in the SNVYSA association. Their journey is a testament to the power of commitment, teamwork, and perseverance.

The unwavering support from parents and families has been instrumental in the team's success, creating a strong foundation that has enabled these young athletes to reach new heights. The Hulking Zombie Pig Dogs have not just built a soccer team - they've created a family that has stayed together through victories and challenges.

The team entered the Rec Cup for the first time in several years. Following a competitive group stage that started with a nail biting tie, the team advanced to the district 2 final at Eastlake stadium, at the end of November, defeating defending champions, Mercer Island, in a closely contested match. The team advanced to the state round final to play against the district 3 champions from West Seattle, at the Starfire complex on Sunday December 14th. The Pig Dogs took an early, decisive lead in the final and maintained their dominance throughout the march to secure their first ever Rec Cup. This State Championship victory marks a crowning achievement in their season, with an overall record of 13 wins, 1 tie and 1 loss across 15 games, and serves as a fitting reward for their years of hard work and dedication. Congratulations to the players, coaches, families, and everyone who has been part of this extraordinary journey!

The Hulking Zombie Pig Dogs are coached by head coach Nick Love and assistant Coach Brian Gailey. Congratulations Coaches on a great season!
